The Ottawa St. Anthony Italia Soccer Club has been a focal point for the Italian community for over 50 years. In 1952, Fathers Jerome Ferraro and Domenico Fiore formed the St. Anthony Senior Men Soccer team which participated in the local league.

During 1959, the team was consolidated with another local team named "Italia" to form the Ottawa St. Anthony Italia senior men soccer team. During the 1960's, the senior men team won consistenly in the Ottawa league until 1965, when it was entered in the Quebec National Soccer League and won the league title for five (5) times.

Although identified as an Italian club, St. Anthony has current and past soccer players of many backgrounds that truly reflect the multicultural fabric of Canada.

Currently, the Ottawa St. Anthony Italia Soccer Club fields both recreation and competitive youth and adult soccer teams. In addition the club is a center of entertainment and multicultural events in the Ottawa-Hull area.
